Cao Jing Ping
If Cao Jingping’s previous art works conveyed some perceivable psychological indication by representing concrete life, then his recent works began to concern more about narrative logic. Such shift is not a simple transition of form, but a transition based on the artist’s using, thinking and realizing of historical culture resources.
It is easy to perceive that his works are always filled with heavy human culture complex, whenever in magnificent and gorgeous microcosmic creatures, or in broad and wide landscape of lakes and hills; moreover, whenever in twilight or in water, there is always a shade of melancholy. On the one hand, he applies delicate and realistic representation way while trivializes use of loud colors; on the other hand, he begins to use writing into his pictures. The traditional painting language has been undoubtedly applied to Cao’s art.
